AIRPORT INFORMATION (iOS)

  • Tap the Airports option in the main menu to view a table containing every airport that can be saved to your device, listed alphabetically by their ICAO codes in the ALL table.
    Airports already saved to your device are listed in the DOWNLOADED table.
  • Tap the star next to an airport to add it to the table of favourites. It will then be marked on the map with a dark border ().
    Note: If the Show Recent Airports map overlay is available on your account and is being applied to the map, then these airports are also displayed in this way.
  • Tap a downloaded airport in a table to view a screen containing all the detailed information available for that airport. This can include: 
    Current weather conditions;
    Wind forecasts and TAF reports;
    Refuelling information;
    NOTAMs (for a time interval of - 1 day, + 14 days from the present);
    Plates and charts categorised by their type (VFR, APPR (Approach), STAR, TAXI, etc.) with any other information located under ALL. If an additional airport document has been added, it will be available under USER.

Viewing and Managing Airport Plates

  • Tap the download icon  (when connected to wi-fi) to obtain current plates for a selected airport.
    You can also download plates for an entire FIR at the same time by selecting that option from the ALL table.
    Note: In some cases, plates that are soon to become valid can be downloaded and used for future flight planning. These plates are labelled in red to highlight that they are not yet valid.
  • Tap a plate from the table to view it over the entire screen. Tap Close (in the top left of the screen) to return to the table of plates.
  • When viewing a plate, you can scroll between others under the same tab using the left and right arrows. You can also annotate, save, and print each plate using the buttons in the top right of the screen. You can annotate using a paintbrush tool or by entering text using a keyboard (selected in the bottom right of the screen). Save annotations using  and delete using .
  • Tap the padlock icon  (which turns green) to lock the plate on the screen to prevent accidental scrolling when using in flight.
  • If the icon  is displayed next to the plate in the table, then this plate is geo-referenced; you can choose to view this plate as a PDF (as above) or to superimpose it on the map screen at the correct location and scale (only available if enabled on your account).
  • Airports with information that is incomplete or no longer valid are marked with  in the DOWNLOADED table.
  • Airport plates can be updated or deleted from your device by tapping the ... button for that airport and selecting the appropriate option.
    Deleting plates removes the airport from the Airports screen. You can easily reinstate an airport by downloading the plates again the next time you use it in a flight plan.
