MASS & BALANCE (iOS)

The Mass & Balance option in the main menu allows you to set up the weight distribution and fuel loading of one of your aircraft, and then save it to a specific flight. The same screen appears if you tap Load in the flight overview screen except that, in that case, the mass and balance information will automatically be saved to that flight.

1. Select the Aircraft from the drop-down list at the top left of the Mass & Balance screen.
2. Where applicable, select a Configuration for the aircraft from the adjacent drop-down list.
   Different configurations of the same aircraft can be created in the web-based software under different Reference numbers.
3. Tap Add to Flight and select the flight to which you want to attach the M&B profile.
   The app lists all the flights in its memory that use the selected aircraft. You will be warned that all previous M&B data for the flight will be erased. Tap Attach to confirm your choice.
4. To set the weight at the various locations inside the aircraft, either tap and drag the sliders on the right of the screen or tap the blue figures and enter a value.
5. In a similar way, enter the fuel you want to load before take-off and the fuel you expect to have left when landing.
   Use the charts to check how the longitudinal and lateral positions of the centre of gravity (CG) change between take-off (green) and landing (yellow).
6. Once the profile is correct, tap . 

• If you want to return to the default settings at any time, tap
  Note that if you leave the Mass & Balance screen and then return, all your changes will be lost.
• You can generate the M&B report and share it with others by tapping and selecting how you want to distribute the PDF that is generated.
