FLIGHTS SCREEN (iOS)
The Flights option in the iOS app menu displays a list of your Draft, Active, and Historic flights, and any flight plan Templates, all under separate tabs.
The lists of flights and templates in the iOS app are all synchronised with the lists in the All Flights and Templates screens in the web-based version of FlightPlan. (Note that any historic flights created before the iOS app was used on your account are only saved in the web-based version.)
- When your device is connected to the Internet, tap in the bottom left of the screen to update the lists of flights at any time.
If your device is not connected to the Internet and you have edited a flight, it will be displayed on a light-grey background and marked with the offline icon until the iOS app synchronises with the web app the next time the device is online. The most recent version of the flight edited in either app is then saved to both apps.
You can filter the lists displayed by using the Search box:
- Enter a part of either the departure or destination location name or IATA/ICAO code.
The list will update immediately to show the relevant entries.
The list of templates can also be filtered to show only those created by you or suggested by the app depending on your present location:
- Tap Filtering near the bottom of the Flights screen when the Templates tab is selected.
- Tap the filtering option you want to use.
- Tap Apply.
The applied filter is displayed in the bottom right of the screen.
If the Flights screen does not contain a flight you can modify or a suitable template, tap in the top right corner to start creating a new flight using a template.
Note: The red recording button in the top right of the screen allows you to select an aircraft from your account to track using the map screen.
